  • Q1: How to apply for the re-issuance of diploma?
    A: Please prepare the following papers and fill the application of re-issuance of diploma. Please apply to the Academic Office of Hsinchu City Chengde Senior High School in person or entrust it to the Instructional Section. 1. 1 copy of household registration certificate, 2. 3 2.5-inch ID photos, 3. 1 copy of ID card and 4. 1 personal deposit
  • Q2: How to apply for the school achievement certificate?
    A: Please prepare 1 2.5-inch ID photo and note the graduation year, birth date and ID No on the back and apply to the Instructional Section.
  • Q3: May I send my child to you if I cannot discipline him since he is absent from school and leave home?
    A: The subjects sent to us are confined to those in need of placement under the judgment by court or by county / city governments, so those without the judgment under laws cannot be placed in here. You may consult with the counseling room at school, social affairs bureau of county / city government, juvenile team of police department or juvenile counseling commission.
  • Q4: May I send my child to you for placement and guidance if he or she escapes from schooling?
    A: The subjects confined to those with the judgment of placement under the Child and Youth Sexual Prevention Act or the Law Governing the Disposition of Juvenile Cases shall exclude the children commissioned by parents.
  • Q5: There are courses of hair and typing in Adolescents' Home, Ministry of Health and Welfare, so may I send my child to you for learning?
    A: The courses of vocational skills are planned and designed exclusively for those placed in here and unavailable to the public. You may acquire more information and opportunities relating to vocational training at the Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training, Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan.
  • Q6: When is the time for meeting? Who may come?
    A: To cooperate with members' courses, there is an afternoon either on Monday or Thursday available to the members' parents for meeting; moreover, to filter the complex interpersonal relation, the meeting subjects are confined to the direct relatives. As for the exception, the case teacher will decide case by case pursuant to the optimal benefit for students.
  • Q7: What is the flowchart of the placement and guidance of Adolescents' Home, Ministry of Health and Welfare?
    A: 1.The youth with the fact of involving in sexual traffic or with the risk to involve in sexual traffic in compliance with the Child and Youth Sexual Prevention Act commissioned by the competent authority (department / bureau of social affairs of county / city governments) for long-term placement with the judgment by court to place in middle schools or youth welfare institutes; and 2.Those with the judgment by court to be placed in adequate welfare institutes in compliance with the Law Governing the Juvenile Cases or with the commission from the county / city governments.
  • Q8: What is the service available in Adolescents' Home, Ministry of Health and Welfare?
    A: There are services, including social work professional guidance, life care guidance, adaptive education, career guidance and health management, available to the youngsters placed in here.
  • Q9: How is the email civil complaint be processed?
    A: The applicant shall note the contents of complaint and his / her name, address, phone number or email and propose the complaint to us within a month from the incident happening. The case will be submitted by us to the relevant offices and sections for investigation and reply the status of processing to you in 3 day.
  • Q10: How to build a good parent-child relation?
    A: The teenagers are in a period of rebellion, so it is a key issue to build a good parent-child relation and communicate with children well. There are 3 key points: (1) please have time with them every day, (2) learn to listen to and respect them: be patient to listen to their voices, know the learning status and respect their ideas and (3) act zealously and care properly to maintain a good interactive patent-child relationship. * Please see details in the e-links for more information.
  • Q11: What is the legal literacy of parents?
    A: Parents tend to feel helpless and powerless and give up on disciplining children in the end as confronted with the rebellious, stubborn, undisciplined, lesson skipping, home escape, smoking, drinking, making bad friends and spending money in wrong way; however, it is necessary for you to be a competent parent by understanding the related legal decrees, including the Child and Youth Welfare Act and Youth Sexual Prevention Act, Law Governing the Disposition of Juvenile Cases and pertinent stipulations in the Civil and Criminal Acts, having good legal common sense, and fully realizing the nursing and educational duties as a parent.
  • Q12: How to communicate with teenagers?
    A: Teenagers are in a unstable period; thus, successful parents will try to maintain easy rational attitude to communicate with children by managing a cozy natural communicative atmosphere as well as know to encourage children properly and emphasize the negotiating and communicating skills so that children will sense the care, love and attention from parents. Moreover, competent parents will not criticize children nor spoil them, be too defensive and furious which may hurt them because basically children need grow up with parental company, participation, support and encouragement.
  • Q13: What is the domestic violence? How to deal with it?
    A: The domestic violence refers to the breach enforced on family members by other family members corporally or spiritually, including abuse, abandonment, mortgage, involvement in illegal occupations or behaviors by compulsion or inducement, abuse of parental rights, use of child or youth for crimes, damage, imprisonment, sexual assault.   • Q14: How to apply for the participation in the voluntary services in Adolescents' Home?
    A: Those who are 18 and more, healthy mentally and physically with good characters, good interpersonal relation, zeal to serve, serious and dutiful attitude, and are capable of the services may apply for the selection to the Instructional Section. *Download the form*
  • Q15: How long will it be in middle schools?
    A: The legal placement term for middle schools is 2 years; however, those who have performed well after 1-year special education with the recognition of the competent authority for the dispensability of continuing the special education or with any other special reason inadequate for continuous placement may be exempted for special education by applying for the judgment by court via declaration.
